Harvest Cider Cocktail
The fall harvest is done and the leaves are finally starting to change. Take a load off and enjoy the changing of the seasons with our Harvest Cider cocktail. Perfect for quiet intimate nights or raucous bacchanalias.
Best Served
On a crisp night with a full moon among friends and family. Might throw in some Bob Dylan just to be safe. And some of that amazing Moody Tongue's Chocolate Cake.
Recipe
Featured Ingredient:
- Crushed ice
- 2 oz dark or aged rum
- 4 oz apple cider
- 2 dashes orange bitters
- 1 oz triple sec simple syrup
- ginger beer to top
- Apple slices to garnish
- Combine the rum, apple cider, orange bitters, and triple sec in a cocktail shaker over ice. Shake vigorously until frosted.
- Fill the serving glasses with crushed ice (you can equally enjoy it without ice).
- Strain the rum cider cocktail into the glasses halfway up (about 7.oz). Top with ginger beer.
- Garnish with apple slices or cinnamon sticks.
